The founders, Domenic and Mary have been on a lifelong quest for peace on earth. They did not find it in their jobs, possessions nor relationships…they found it in Jesus Christ. Domenic and Mary are grateful to God for reaching down and saving them from themselves so He could use them for His purposes. He has shown them the plans He has for them is to share the peace and love of the Lord by giving them a Christ centered place to feed people.
Domenic grew up with a father who had a passion for cooking. He learned all he could from his dad and helped him in the family catering business from a young age. Unfortunately, his father left this earth at 44 but his legacy lives on through Domenic each time he steps into a kitchen.
Mary’s background in food comes from working behind the scenes at one of the most iconic restaurants in South Florida, Jaxson’s Ice Cream Parlor, Restaurant & Country Store. Jaxson’s was founded by Monroe Udell in 1956 and has been a South Florida landmark ever since. They make their own ice cream the old-fashioned way, using the best ingredients available for almost 70 years now! For over 14 years, Mary worked at their family owned and operated business—it was the perfect learning place for her to acquire all the tools she needs to help Domenic run Peace on Earth.
We pray that all who come to Peace on Earth feel the love we have in our hearts for God and for others. In the book of Matthew, chapter 22, Jesus says: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” We try to do our best to live by these words. Are we perfect? Not by any means…are we saved and set apart by God so that He can continue to work on us and change us to be more like Him, absolutely!
